Militaria Sales continue to grow

Our bi-monthly sales of Militaria continue to grow in popularity with a wide following across the world.

The knowledge and expertise of our valuers is widely recognised, both nationally and internationally, and encompasses a broad range of items including 18th and 19th century firearms, military uniforms, helmets, binoculars, swords and bayonets, World War I and World War II ephemera, and tribal weapons.

Medals are also sold in the Militaria sales and unusual groups with good provenance awalys attract strong interest. At the latest sale held on 5th March, an officers territorial medal group awarded to Major CHB Prescott-Westcar of the Royal East Kent Yeomanry was met with strong interest selling for £600. Two Indian mutiny medals 1857 -1858 awarded to James Holloway 2nd Bengal Fusillers sold for £480. Other items selling to advantage included A German DAK M41 Africakorps tropical field cap £500, A Victorian Madras artillery sword and scabbard by Andrews, Pall Mall £440 and A WWI B & J Beck No.14 trench periscope £420.
